Narrative Writing

What is narrative writing?
The narrative writing style is used when you are going to be telling a story. This is with the intention of teaching the reader a life lesson usually from your own experience.

Important things to know!
When formatting a narrative paper you need to make sure you include; an introduction, plots, characters, setting, climax and most importantly a conclusion.

To help layout your paper you can use an outline such as the one below.

Experts Say...
Narrative essays should be making a point, if it is not making a point a narrative essay is not the correct writing style. They should also be written from a clear point of view to help with creativity. You also want to make sure you are using clear language and grammar throughout the entire essay. This includes using keywords that help to express emotions. You can also use 'I' that does not mean that you want to use it repetitively. Using it few times throughout the paper is okay. Last but not least, be organized in your writing!
